Abstract

This paper describes the properties of digital signatures used for security of electronic transactions and implementation of those properties with real life problems and precautions. This paper also surveys the various digital signatures used in different parts of world and status of digital signature in India. Finally a list of countries where digital signature has legal status is presented.
