Abstract

Seoul GRID Center has been building a large scale GRID Testbed, namely Seoul GRID Testbed, which covers whole metropolitan area of Seoul, the Capital City of Korea. In this paper, we introduce the Seoul Grid Testbed with the Seoul Grid portal. The University of Seoul with Seoul GRID Center designed and built a high performance SuperCluster system with 256 nodes, which are 2.0GHz Intel Pentium IV processors. The SuperCluster is a part of Seoul GRID Testbed. From the design stage, the scientific application program teams of the application division at Seoul GRID Center joined and before the main built-in process, various test with real scientific application programs were done for guaranteed high performance. This paper describes the design of the Seoul GRID Center Linux SuperCluter. We have developed an unified resource management framework for our Seoul Grid Testbed. We implemented the framework into Seoul Grid portal. We also developed an intelligent resource brokering system, namely, SGIRBS(Seoul GRID Institute Resource Brokering System), for it. SGIRBS is currently serviced through Seoul GRID portal. In this paper, we also introduce them.
