Behavioral Psychologists generally believe that deception causes physiological reactions such as high blood pressure, increased heart rate, and an increased respiration rate. The physiological reaction is the consequence of arousal that is associated with high-stake deception [1]. A high-stake lie is one told when the person lying stands to get a notable gain, or faces a notable loss by telling the truth.
