Abstract

Aspect mining is a research direction that tries to identify crosscutting concerns in already developed software systems, without using Aspect Oriented Programming. The aim of this paper is to propose a new formal model for clustering based aspect mining. Such a formal model was not defined in the literature, yet. We also define quality measures for evaluating the results of clustering based aspect mining techniques. A small example on how to compute these measures is also provided.
