Case-Based Reasoning (CBR), which provides a foundation for a new technology of intelligent computer systems that can solve problems and adapt to new situations, is the process of solving new problems based on the solutions of similar past problems. In the present paper we give a fuzzy representation of a CBR system and we use the total possibilistic uncertainty as a measure of its effectiveness in solving new related problems. Examples are also given to illustrate our results.
