Abstract

An analytic method for the calculation of the quantization noise power within the bandwidth of interest in stabilized high order Sigma-Delta modulators is presented. In contrast with previous approaches, the use of an expansion in Taylor series of the squared magnitude of the noise transfer function is proposed. The predicted results are compared with simulated data and good agreement is reported.
