The long term goal of this research is to improve the quality and accuracy of ontologies that describe a domain. Once the correctness of an ontology can be verified then it can be used confidently in actual data processing problems. The objective of this research is to focus on the correctness of a given ontology by analyzing its structural integrity. The central hypothesis of this research is that given an OWL ontology describing a particular domain, it is possible to determine the correctness of its structure by treating the ontology as a max-heap.
