Study on the geodesic problems with boundary conditions playing an important role in the fields of differential geometry and CAGD etc. In this note, we talk about two unified methods for improving the boundary geodesic problem on regular surfaces, including the parametric surfaces and the implicit surfaces. Both of these methods can estimate elegantly the geodesic curves between two objects, including points and curves, on the surfaces.
