Abstract

In this paper, general transformations for designing 2-D (Two-Dimensional) IIR filters are provided. The present approach can be viewed as an extension of the classical method of magnitude approximation and can be applied in several cases of 2-D filter design. Numerical examples illustrate the validity and the efficiency of the method.
