Abstract

This paper introduces the problem "zero anaphora resolution" in Bulgarian. Different types of subject ellipses in Bulgarian are described. Rules for identification of clauses with zero pronouns in Bulgarian are proposed. The antecedent of the omitted pronoun is determined by combining morphological knowledge, syntactic knowledge and heuristic rules. The future work will be directed to resolution of the anaphor, when it is expressed by personal, reflexive or demonstrative pronoun.
