GRID: A DTN based Localized Social Networking and Messaging Application Social networking is one of the dominant activities in today's internet. A recent survey by Nielsen states that there are 315 million active users in various social networks. People like to do social interaction with their friends and likeminded people around them by micro blogging and sharing digital media. We have a developed an application named Grid that combines social network applications and NAN (Near me area Network)style features without relying on server in the Internet. Grid enables the localized social network experience without the need for Internet infrastructure.
