Abstract

To save home energy, this paper proposes an energy saving support system named KNOTES. By notifying the users of their energy consumption status and giving them suitable advice, it performs indirect control. Indirect control means that a smart system prompts users to change their life-style and reduce energy consumption. KNOTES enables the giving of advice based on its audit and the user's personal biography. This paper also describes a simulation to verify the advice algorithm in the proposed system.
