Abstract

Transform domain communication system (TDCS) has been proposed as a new kind of intelligent wireless communication system, which has the advantages of adaptive interference avoidance capability and low probability of intercept (LPI). Different from the traditional communication system suppressing interference at the receiver, TDCS synthesizes an adaptive fundamental modulation waveform (FMW) in the transform domain which evades the interference regions at the transmitter. In this paper we investigate the system performance of the TDCS by exploiting M-ary cyclic shift keying (CSK) modulation. The numerical results show that the M-ary CSK based TDCS can provide low bit error rate (BER) in the presence of single tone interference. With the increase of the order M-ary, the system has significant BER improvements. Furthermore, the transmission bit rate and bandwidth efficiency are also increased by the M-ary CSK based TDCS.
