Abstract

A relationship between pairwise comparison classical numerical ranking and a partial order based pairwise comparison nonnumerical ranking is discussed. A consistent non-numerical ranking that is equivalent to a given consistent numerical ranking is constructed and the correctness of this construction is proven. A new concept of consistency for the pairwise comparison classical numerical ranking is given.
