Cloud infrastructure management is supported by Clouds' internal employees and contractors. Such manual management process that requires human intervention is not adequate considering Cloud promising future. For example, full reliance on human beings requires longer time to architect/deploy solutions and resolve problems. Also, full reliance on human beings is error prone, subject to insider threats, and does not provide a reliable way of measuring the level of trust in Cloud's operations. This paper is concerned about defining, exploring, and analyzing middleware self-managed services at Cloud virtual layer. Most importantly we discuss the interdependency across such services in context of Cloud computing. Finally, we identify the challenges involved in providing secure and reliable self managed services. To the best of our knowledge our paper is the first to explore this area and especially discussing self-managed services' interdependency.
