This paper discusses several features of parametrized classes, such as categories of its parameters, operations allowed and modes of instanciation. It also discusses the difficulties in describing the semantics of a class when it is used as a parameter for a parametrized class. The paper proposes a model unifying all parametrized class features discussed and presents suggestions for enhancing the use of these classes.
