This paper considers the semantic capacity of object flows and action nodes in UML activity diagram for the automated generation of class associations in UML class diagram representing the conceptual database model. Based on the results of an analysis of action nodes regarding the number of different types of input and output objects as well as the weight of object flows, the formal transformation rules for the generation of object-object associations are defined and some experimental results of the corresponding ATL implementation are provided.
