An efficient group key agreement protocol is proposed based mainly on the 2-party GH key exchange scheme (GH-KEP) and the intractability of discrete logarithm of finite field GF(pr). It is shown that, compared with the existing DH-based protocols, the new protocol is computationally more efficient. The proposed protocol can be used to establish contributory group key for dynamical group communications such as ad-hoc networks.
