Recently, a minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) relay for the two-way relay channel employing a network coding has been developed. In that method, the relay performs the symbol estimation process and the message combining process jointly and outputs the symbol which results in the smallest expected distortion using the joint source-channel technique. On the other hand, a three-way relay channel employing a network coding has been investigated by several researchers. In this paper, we extend the MMSE relay previously developed for the two-way relay channel employing a network coding to a three-way relay channel employing a network coding.
