Abstract

This paper presents a new approach based on Hierarchical Markov user model to mine the favorite navigation patterns. First some new notions in the model, such as state, navigation behavior, mean staying time and favorite, are defined. And the user navigation behavior hierarchy is then constructed. Based on the hierarchical Markov user model, an algorithm is designed to mine the user favorite navigation paths, and the results are good.
