This paper is a performance study of peer-to-peer systems over mobile ad hoc networks. We present a performance model towards an in-depth understanding of mobile peer-to-peer systems. Our results provide potential useful guidelines for mobile operators, value-added service providers and application developers to design and dimension mobile peer-to-peer systems.
