The paper explores the possibility of predicting the evolution of P systems by means of features like stability and internal relationship between membranes. The idea of general rules governing the evolution of the system is developed. The result can be applied to societies and language contact, especially to sociolinguistics. In this respect, the paper opens a new line of mathematical treatment for sociolinguistics.
