Several spatio-temporal conceptual models have been proposed in the literature Some of these models have associated CASE tools assisting the user from the creation of the conceptual schema until the generation of a physical schema for a target DBMS or GIS However, such CASE tools only consider the translation of information structures (i.e attributes) Since current DBMSs or GISs provide limited support for temporal and spatio-temporal information, when translating conceptual schemas it is necessary to automatically generate the functions and procedures allowing to manipulate spatio-temporal information in the target platform In this paper we describe how to realize this generation in an object-relational DBMSs.
