Abstract

On Iris, features such as lacunae, crypts, lines are closely related with diseases and health status of human body. As one of such features, Radii Solaris plays an important role in automatic diagnosis through iridology. In this paper, we present a novel Radii Solaris extraction method based on primitive definition. Firstly, Radii Solaris primitives are defined and standard templates are obtained from training iris data. Secondly, Radii Solaris is extracted from iris images according to standard template and primitive. Experimental results show that this method can obtain Radii Solaris' primitive and Radii Solaris' templates preferably which provide basis for future work, and get good recognition results.
