Numerical Methods for Unconstrained Optimization and Nonlinear Equations (Classics in Applied Mathematics, 16)
Hi-index | 0.00 |
We consider locating an obnoxious facility. We use the weighted ellipsoidal lp norm to accurately measure the distance. We derive the necessary and sufficient conditions for the local optimality and transform the optimality conditions into a system of nonlinear equations. We use Newton's method with perturbed nonmonotone line search to solve the equations. Some numerical experiments are presented.
