Abstract

In this paper, we formulate a Clifford-valued widely linear estimation framework. Clifford number is a hypercomplex number that generalizes real, complex numbers, quaternions, and higher dimensional numbers. And also, as a first step, we will give a theoretical foundation for a quaternion-valued widely linear estimation framework. The estimation error obtained with the quaternion-valued widely linear estimation method is proven to be smaller than that obtained using the usual quaternion-valued linear estimation method.
