Abstract

Copyright of digital images available on internet, CD's, DVD's, etc can be easily violated by doing modifications resulting in the corruption of the data. To avoid such problems, the concept of watermarking was introduced. In which, a secret data called Watermark is embedded into the original image by not even effecting it. Wavelet Transform deposits the image energy effectively. When energy is transformed into Wavelet Domain, the approximate sub-band holds almost all the energy and after modifications they almost remain unaltered. This paper proposes a method using Discrete Wavelet Transform to check the robustness of the embedded watermark in the image. Different Wavelets have been used to compare the robustness of the watermark.
