Abstract

This paper presents an object-oriented software system that implements a modified artificial fish swarm (AFS) algorithm based on a particular intelligent behavior of schools of fish. We outline our implementation of the algorithm for unconstrained optimization problems. The application was implemented in C# with flexible GUI (Graphical User Interface) and it was successfully tested on four standard unconstrained benchmark problems.
