MIMO technology is one of the smart antenna technologies that support employment of large number of antennas at both transmitting and receiving side. The need of high transmission rate in communication systems can be accomplished by bringing into this technology. Consequently, in contemporary communication systems it can play a vital role that can achieve high quality transmission. In this paper, inspection of channel capacity of MIMO system is carried out. Use of any convenient simulation is necessary whenever we investigate the performance of a system. Here, in this discussion MATLAB simulation is brought into play in order to investigate the channel capacity of MIMO system. With the help of MATLAB I generated a code which is based on Shannon capacity formula. In code I enter the number of transmitting antennas, number of receiving antennas and SNR measured in dB in order to calculate the channel capacity. At the end, the output of codes can be seen in figure window of MATLAB.
