Abstract

The paper describes a program which a designer can use to build up the shape of a 212D or 3D mechanical component by adding or subracting volumes. The program will plot or display line drawings of the component. It also generates a stored description of the component's shape, from which can be derived geometric information for manufacture of the component by numerically-controlled machine tools.
