Abstract

Tracking human body movements is a fundamental and complex problem. Recent times, body worn wireless sensors based systems are becoming effective tools to solve such complex problems. In this paper, we present a wireless sensor network based feedback system to assist training human body movements. We have designed an experimental system using Sun SPOT sensors to capture the movement and then analyze them to offer meaningful feedback to both the trainer and trainees. We conducted a limited number of experiments for some basic movements and the preliminary results are encouraging. The proposed wireless sensors based feedback system is simple, generic, efficient, cost effective, and user friendly. Therefore, it has the practical appeal.
