The methods and results of measurements of an inhouse computer network, Kuipnet, are presented. Kuipnet is an information-processing network. The traffic in the network consists of real-time high-speed traffic (speech data), large-volume data (digital images or files), and ordinary conversation with a time-sharing system (characters). The measurement system consists of software on a central switching computer, storage on magnetic tape and analysis software. The performance of the switching computer, traffic characteristics and network status are assessed.
