In this paper, we aim to provide Quality of Service for video data over Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) networks in the presence of voice calls and non-real-time data. We investigate the behaviour of two ATM switch scheduling algorithms and the resulting Quality of Service provided to real-time video transmission over ATM networks. We also study the concept of `classes' of service on which the above two algorithms are based.
