Abstract

This paper is interested in the question of clinical data reduction and decision making using the basic rough set approach. In particular, we introduce another methodology based on the entropy measure instead of the quality of classification. This methodology is implemented on a microcomputer by which the physician (decision maker) can modulate his decision by some measures for diagnosis. An example of clinical data from patients with valvular heart diseases is considered to validate the efficiency of the proposed system.
