Abstract

We present a maxentropic approach to the study of regularized Fredholm equations. Besides making the maxentropic approach work, the regularization has an important practical origin, namely, the data function is usually contaminated with noise, which naturally requires solutions to lie in some neighborhood of a mean datum. Superresolution occurs when, for some data functions, there exists only one possible solution, and max-ent provides a neat way to pin it down.
