A new algorithm using the property restoral approach for adaptive blind equalization of digital transmission channels is proposed. According to residual intersymbol interference (ISI) levels at the equalizer output, the proposed algorithm adopts a single-level radius or a multi-level radius to form the error signal to be minimized. Thus, it is possible to reduce the steady-state error and improve the convergence speed of conventional property restoral algorithms.
