Abstract

The industry has shown a growing interest in the field of in-house wireless communication. The two major technical challenges are the interference and the signal distortion by the communication channel. We propose three different interference mitigation and distortion compensation strategies. These strategies are based on frequency domain processing, which is best supported by orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and single-carrier modulation with cyclic prefix (SCCP). Both modulation techniques are compared with respect to their performance in an in-house environment. Both techniques are promising for in-house communication in an environment corrupted by interference and frequency selective channels
