Abstract

This paper presents a review and survey of the literature on information audits, communication audits and information mapping. The key concepts of information audits, communication audits and information mapping are outlined and the work which has been carried out is analysed in relation to the different type of focus adopted. The various methods and techniques which have been developed for undertaking information audits and communication audits and information mapping are described and their applications in a variety of organizations are evaluated.
