Abstract

A personal view of an extended concept of personal communications is discussed. The relationship between low-power digital cordless technology and some alternatives (analog cordless, digital mobile radio, and cellular mobile radio) is examined. Personal communication network (PCN) power requirements, circuit quality, level of network integration, and access to network intelligence (e.g. call forwarding, call transfer, and personal number calling) are emphasized
