Abstract

This paper presents a methodology for network synthesis and optimum design in telecommunication systems. The method uses two concepts: the dynamic buffer size queue and the equivalent product form network. While the first concept helps to reduce the complexity of the network by hiding local parts in the network, the latter provides a mathematical treatment that can aid in the design of the network.
