Collective intelligence can be considered as an emerging phenomenon contained in many interactions concerning social networks and social media. A very intuitive notion considers the term as a collective of individuals doing things together that seem intelligent. This paper discusses collective intelligence in social media from an application perspective in the context of real-world systems utilizing collective intelligence in social media.
