Abstract

The fast evolution of mobile devices and their complex functionalities require an improvement of the design process applied: Using patterns allows to document and use up to date and already proven solutions. This paper introduces two usability-improving mobile application development patterns for software designers of mobile applications that run on mobile devices with no or infrequent access to remote logic or data storage. We present a client-side solution for the design of usable applications for heterogenous devices and a mobile application usability test suite.
