Abstract

The long term aim of this research is more complete integration of HCI and software engineering methods. It currently involves two distinct projects, the common thread being UML use case modelling. Project 1 is concerned with the mapping of tasks to dialogue structure. Project 2 is examining UML use case modelling from the viewpoint of its suitability as input to the early stages of the visual design of graphical user interfaces. It remains to bring the work together into an integrated method.
