Abstract

Today, in this internet world transmitting information securely and secretly is a primary necessity that everyone demands. In this proposed work, a hybrid embedding steganography mechanism is adopted to hide the secret data in the cover image. Both the optimum pixel method and matrix embedding method are renowned spatial domain embedding technique. Optimum pixel embedding technique is ideal in the case where high embedding capacity is required, whereas matrix embedding can be used in the case where distortion to the cover image to be minimized. In the proposed study a mix of both optimum and matrix embedding were followed. Here every cover image pixels are subjected to inspect and identify better embedding scheme towards the goal of high embedding capacity and less distortion. Peak Signal to Noise Ratio of our results shows that the distortion occurred to stego image is an acceptable one, which is above 40dB.
