In this paper, we introduce the performance evaluation procedure for vision based object feature extraction algorithms. Vision based object feature extraction algorithms are widely employed in object recognition and localization for robots. Our purpose is to establish evaluation procedure and performance measures for these algorithms. The object database, called OFEX(Obejct Feature EXtraction), has been constructed to test the proposed procedures. We also examine experimental results for one of the feature extraction algorithms.
