Abstract

One of key challenges in deploying large-scale Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is system longevity. This paper presents a set of simulation results for a mobile sensor network with energy-harvesting capability. The system model and simulation results were collected using NS-2 network simulator. The simulation results clearly show the advantages of the energy-harvesting mobile sensor network to achieve a long-term system longevity and performance.
