Abstract

Starting off with Moss and Parikh's view of knowledge we develop a kind of dynamic logic of knowledge acquisition. Corresponding procedures are basically modelled by functions changing the knowledge states of the agent under discussion, and the machinery of deterministic PDL is then utilized for knowledge-based programming. The main issues of the paper are the fundamental meta-theorems on the arising logic, KAL. We prove, in particular, the soundness and completeness with respect to the intended class of structures as well as the decidability of KAL.
