Mobile Ad hoc network termed as MANET is a collection of wireless mobile nodes, which dynamically form a temporary network without any existing network infrastructure. Cluster based routing includes role based routing such as cluster head performs observer role, one of the cluster member act as source/sink role. Cluster based routing includes both reactive and pro active approaches. Trusted environment ensures security in MANET clusters. There are lots of research works done in the area of key based security for cluster based systems. In this paper a faired election scheme is proposed so that every trusted node can act as a cluster head once in a while. In the proposed system the key generation is never depending on a centralized node; instead session keys are used to decrypt the message. Different levels of trust values of the nodes are calculated based upon each node's past behavior in the MANET and trusted nodes can only take part in communication. In this work the security of the cluster based systems is increased by incorporating the cluster head selection with the key based cryptography.
