The present scenario has been conquered by the wireless network. It is well understood that the future will also be tied up by the same network. The ad hoc network plays a pivotal role in making communication among nodes dynamically. It can happen without any hurdle while the network expansion has been handled efficiently. On the part of handling this growth factor of network, clustering mechanism comes as a means to provide an efficient solution. The cluster formation has been restricted by various parameters. Thus, this paper work proposes W-PAC as an effective clustering mechanism based on multiple parameters and also suggests cluster maintenance strategy. The performance of proposed algorithm has been analyzed through simulation and results have been compared with the existing WCA algorithm.
