Abstract

In today's world, new, efficient and reliable data hiding techniques need to be developed in order to protect the transmitted data from being intercepted and misused. In order to protect transmitted image data from being intercepted, the technique of watermarking has been widely used. In watermarking, the transmitted image data is embedded in a 'carrier' that hides the contents of the transmitted image. Watermarking ensures an inherent robustness in the frequency domain. In this paper we use the MRA (Multiresolution Analysis) technique to decompose the image and then fusing a logo image rather than a pseudo-random number sequence into the Host image to ensure high degree of secure transfer. The algorithm has been applied on multiple images and results have proved its effectiveness.
